Junior Cert results night celebrations will take place in the Royal Theatre Castlebar with special guests Industry on Wednesday September 9. Industry, Ireland’s brand new pop group, stormed the charts with their debut single ‘My Baby’s Waiting’ going straight in at number one. Industry are made up of Donal Skehan (Dublin ), Morgan Deane (Cork ), Michele McGrath (Dublin ), and Lee Hutton (Chesterfield, UK )
On May 13, Industry were exclusively revealed to media and performed a showcase at Dublin’s Sugar Club. Since then, Industry have travelled over 12,000 miles on a promo tour visiting every radio/TV station including 12 record stores signings all across Ireland.
The group is working very closely with Swedish producers Holter/Erixson and Ten Productions. To date, Industry have recorded seven hit tracks, some of which are written by the band, and have shot four music videos. Industry recently supported the Pussycat Dolls on their show at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney, on July 18 and their video for ‘My Baby’s Waiting’ topped the most watched video in Ireland on YouTube for two days following their performance.
During the month of August Industry teamed up with producers in Los Angeles to finish recording their debut album, due out later this year. This Junior Cert celebration night in the Royal Theatre also promises to be full of fun and prize give-aways.
