Ballyhaunis was a hive of activity recently during its summer festival. The winner of the Annagh Rose which took place in Monsoon night club was Edel Kilcourse representing the Billabong Bar and Vals Bistro, Main Street, Ballyhaunis.
The winners of the best retail shop front were Bank of Ireland; best non-retail: G Donnellan, Clare Street; best public house: Gill’s Bar, who also won the best overall prize.
The winner of the pub quiz was Phillip’s Bar, Main Street and the winners of the RUA Star competition were Whiskey Dancer who represented the Billabong Bar and Vals Bistro Main street.
The Delaneys garden draw (€1,000 worth of garden products ) also took place during the festival weekend with Shane Finnegan winning.
