Truffles and Bubbles at Lisloughrey Lodge

Following on from the hugely successful Pink Afternoon in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute held in Lisloughrey Lodge, Mairead Geehan, events manager at the lodge, is producing a Truffles and Bubbles evening to give additional support to this great charity. This event forms part of a co-ordinated effort by Mairead to raise €10,000 for breast cancer research in the Galway and Mayo region.

Truffles and Bubbles will be a fashion show and cocktail party in Lisloughrey Lodge on Thursday September 3. Mandy Maher of Catwalk Model Agency will be co-ordinating the show, with hair by Bellisimo and make-up by Jane Ardele. Many well known shops and designers are taking part including Claire Garvey Designs, Colette Latchford, Design Platform, Eye World, Designer Helen James, The Hidden Closet, Lilly’s Jewellery & Accessories, Madison, McGuire’s Shoes, Meg, Okinara House of Fashion, Squisito Boutique, and milliner Suzie Mahony.

The laid back luxury of Lisloughrey Lodge and its chic country-house style will make the perfect venue for a fashion show with a difference. “The response from the shops and suppliers has been amazing and many of the area’s top boutiques and national designers are participating. Everyone wants to get involved,” says Geehan, who has also been deeply moved by the support offered by people in the area.

The event will kick off at 7.30pm with cocktails on the front lawn overlooking Lough Corrib followed by a fashion show in the Lodge at 8.30pm.

The evening will be rounded off with entertainment by the versatile Buck Taylor and Keith Mc Donald. Tickets are €60 and to be part of the fun and support breast cancer research contact Mairead Geehan, Lisloughrey Lodge, on 094 954 5400, e-mail [email protected]
