Ballinrobe Fianna Fáil Councillor Damien Ryan has proposed that all 31 elected members of Mayo County Council should be facilitated in attending the LookWest exhibition which is due to take place in Dublin next Thursday.
The exhibition has been organised to encourage Dublin businesses to consider relocating in the west.
Cllr Ryan said councillors should be able to attend the exhibition by being allocated funding above and beyond their normal conference allocation.
The exhibition is being organised as a follow-up to the advertising campaign which ran over the summer and the Mayo County Development Board will have a stall there providing information on all possible advantages to Dublin companies of moving west.
