Results of Gents’ Senior Competition held on July 30 in first place was Bill Hopkins (12 ), 37.5pts, B9; second Gar Golden (11 ), 37.5pts; third John P Kelly (16 ), 36.5pts; fourth Michael Cafferty (20 ), 36pts. Cat (1 ) John Gavin (22 ) 35pts; Cat (2 ) Chris Lavelle (16 ) 32.5pts; Cat (3 ) Perry O’Reilly (6 ) 33pts; Cat (4 ) Michael Hastings (19 ) 34pts.
Senior gents are reminded that the Liam Walsh Plate will be played on Friday August 21. The timesheet is open from 1.30pm to 4pm. With average entry to the senior monthly competition now exceeding 40 golfers, members are requested to book their preferred time as soon as possible.
Due to the restrictions on space, the full list of Open Week prizewinners will only appear on the dedicated pages on the club website.
Members are also reminded that during Open Week, a 9-hole stableford competition takes place on Wednesday and Friday. Entry fee is €5 per person and there is a timesheet in operation from 5.08pm to 6.30pm. Prize presentations take place on Saturday 8 and your attendance would be gratefully appreciated.
The next GOY competition for both the ladies’ and gents’ club will be the President’s Prize (Mr Hugh Murphy ) on Sunday August 16.
