Council Arts Office, South Tipperary County Council Arts Service and the Irish Museum Of Modern Art, supported by the Arts Council, which will open at the Ballina Arts Centre on Thursday August 13 at 7.30pm.
Altered Images aims to introduce new ways of seeing and experiencing art for both disabled and non-disabled people alike. This exhibition will be accessible and interactive to engage a wider audience, in particular disabled people.
Works will be by Thomas Brezing, David Creedon, Alice Maher, Caroline McCarthy, Abigail O’Brien, and specially commissioned works by Amanda Coogan and Daphne Wright.
An interactive website, www.alteredimages.ie, is also being developed to provide access for a wider audience using a multi-sensory approach. The exhibition will run until September 30. www.ballinaartscentre.com
