A nationwide campaign to find volunteers to sing and play guitar for the elderly in long term hospital wards has been launched. Friends of the Elderly wants to hear from musicians and entertainers in every part of Ireland who can give an hour a week to entertain the elderly in their local hospital.
To facilitate this, Friends of the Elderly is creating a local directory of entertainers for the elderly for every hospital in Ireland. There is no charge for the service.
