Some 300 teams from around the world will this month start their journey to Mongolia for the 2009 Mongol Rally whose fundraising goes towards the Christina Nobel Children’s Charity for a sanctuary for homeless and abandoned children.
Locally, Aiden Gallagher and Paul McGrath from Castlebar will hold a fundraiser night in the Ruby Room in the TF Royal Hotel on Saturday July 11. There will be a band and prizes given out on the night. Entry is €8 and doors open at 9pm.
