Get on your bike to help children

On Sunday July 5 the Children’s Cancer Charity for the West – CD’s Helping Hands will hold a charity motorbike ride to raise much needed funds children affected by cancer in the west of Ireland. The Nifty 50 will take place between Knock and Tubbercurry and all are welcome to get involved or just go along to enjoy the ride!

The day promises to be a fun day out with spot prizes for the best turned out Honda, best dressed rider, most unusual bike, furthest travelled, and so on, awarded at various pit stops along the route. Raffle tickets will be on sale to win a new Opel Corsa and a certificate will be awarded to all who complete the run.

The route for the day: Depart Knock at 12 noon travel through Kilkelly and Charlestown. At 1.30pm to 2.30pm, stop for lunch at the Centra store in Curry before returning back the same route to Knock by 5pm. Registration will take place from 11am until 12 noon in the West Car Park in Knock (beside the old church ) and the fee is €30. Break down recovery will be available throughout.
