Interesting workshops will take place in the Museum of Country Life, Turlough in July. On Sunday July 5 from 2.30pm to 3.30pm join Padraic McAvock, amateur Met Station operator and local fisherman, as he explains the recent weather trends. Learn how to read, measure and record weather signs.
A sheep and wool day will take place on Thursday July 9. From 11am to 1pm a demonstration on shearing, spinning and knitting will take place. From 2.30pm to 3.30pm there will be a workshop for children showing how wool from sheep is used to make clothes.
