Mayo Rose of Tralee representative Kate Heneghan did the county proud throughout the 2023 Rose of Tralee competition this week and remained the frontrunner to win the event right up to the festival final on Tuesday, August 22nd.
In the end, the New York Rose, Roisin Wiley, was announced as the winner - and is wished every success wearing the crown in the year ahead. Nonetheless, Castlebar native Kate was a superb representative for her home county throughout the entire festival and wowed audiences with her harp playing skills during her time on stage as well as her sparkling personality.
