Mayo GAA confirm new broadcast partner for Mayo GAA TV

Mayo GAA have announced that Mayo Credit Unions is the new official broadcast partner for all Mayo GAA club championship games streamed on Mayo GAA TV this year.

Welcoming the new partnership Mayo GAA Cathaoirleach Seamus Tuohy said that Mayo GAA TV was going from strength to strength with a loyal and growing audience at home and abroad. He said: "I am absolutely delighted to welcome Mayo Credit Unions as our broadcast partner for the club championship on Mayo GAA TV this year. Mayo Credit Unions are rooted in our community and like all of our GAA clubs they are at the heart of rural life in the county and in the country. Mayo Credit Unions reach into every corner of the community and everyone associated with Mayo GAA is looking forward to working with them in the coming weeks and months".

A spokesperson for Mayo Credit Unions said they were delighted to be the official broadcast partner with Mayo GAA TV for the upcoming season stating: "We are looking forward to working with Mayo GAA as this is an exciting new partnership between two strong community organisations. Community, culture and supporting locals is at the heart of what we do. Mayo Credit Unions & Mayo GAA share many of the same values. The local GAA Club & the local Credit Union are both rooted in the heart of their communities, so we believe this to be a great partnership".

In total, over twenty club games will be streamed live on Mayo GAA TV this year with action from the senior, intermediate and junior championships all set to feature. The enhanced schedule will also see games streamed live for the first time ever on Friday evenings with the Mayo GAA club championship commencing on the weekend of August 18.

Mayo GAA PRO John Walker said that having Mayo Credit Unions as a key partner would further bolster the live streaming service, saying: "We are always looking at ways to improve the service and this season we will have more games, more expert analysis and much more interaction with our audience. We appreciate and understand that some people cannot attend games and Mayo GAA TV is that vital link with their local clubs and community wherever they are in the world".

Mayo GAA have confirmed that three games will be streamed live each weekend from the earlier rounds of the championship with the clash between Louisburgh and Kiltimagh in the Egan Jewellers Intermediate championship kicking off the schedule on Friday, August 18 from the Centre of Excellence in Bekan. The following day, August 19 senior heavy weights Knockmore and Castlebar Mitchels will feature live on Mayo GAA TV with the hugely anticipated local derby between Ballyhaunis and Aghamore rounding off the streaming schedule on Sunday, August 20th.

Games from Round 2 of the Mayo GAA club championship to feature on Mayo GAA TV will include Garrymore vs. The Neale on Friday, September 1, Charlestown v Claremorris on Saturday, September 2 and Ballina v Mayo Gaels on Sunday on September 3. All the Mayo GAA club finals will be streamed live once again this year with the Mayo GAA Senior and Junior Hurling Final also included on the schedule of live games.
