A man who following his conviction at Castlebar District Court two weeks ago became aggressive and was removed by gardaí from the courtroom, was before Judge Mary Devins for this incident at Wednesday’s sitting.
Melusi Sheppard, 115 Knockphunta Park, Castlebar, was physically removed from the court in May for the safety of those in the courtroom, according to his solicitor, James Ward, the defendant over reacted at the judgment and accepts fully the disrespect shown.
Melusi, who has no previous convictions, was directed by Judge Devins to give €100 to the No Name Club and was given the benefit of the Probation Act.
