Are you stuck in a holiday rut? Are you seeking an alternative which combines incredible scenery, the chance to experience different cultures, adventure and a physical challenge, while also supporting a great cause? Then why not sign up to join Amnesty International Ireland’s Trek Vietnam.
During the exciting 10-day trip, participants will take part in a six day trek through pristine jungle, over ancient mountain passes, and around terraced paddy fields. One of the highlights will be Pu Luong Nature reserve, an area that very few westerners have travelled into.
You will also visit Kho Muong village, nestled between steep karst limestone mountains. Here you can see life in the remote villages at first hand, with the hustle and bustle of the weekly market where all produce is brought back to the village two hours uphill on foot. After trekking through the heart of Vietnam you will head to its charming capital, Hanoi, where you will visit busy markets, stroll down tree-lined avenues, and soak up the elegant charm of the former French colonial city.
The total cost of this trip is €5,400. This covers the cost of all flights, transfers, food accommodation, support staff, trekking guides, with a significant portion going directly to Amnesty International Ireland to fund its work.
