A music summer course for teachers organised by Mayo Education Centre will be held at Scoil Raifteirí, Castlebar, from July 6 to July 10 with the WhistleBlast Quartet.
The course will cover the complete music primary school curriculum in a hands on way – how to write raps and songs, how to stimulate an appreciation of music, rhythm games, an orchestra of percussion, and performance with children. There will also be a live performance every morning and a short session on music with computers.
