Mayo County Council Arts Service is planning an arts project for the region along the N5 Westport to Turlough road project. They would like your help in creating a profile of your area and community interests.
This is your chance to tell them about what your area means to you and what types of creative encounters and experiences you are interested in.
Mayo County Council have commissioned a wide range of public art projects in the past. Artists have worked with communities using a variety of art forms including music, theatre, visual arts, dance, film, literature, photography, multi-media and more. The survey results will give artists an insight into your area, it’s character and the interests of the community.
It will help shape what form the project will take and what type of community engagement will happen. An artist brief describing the project will be developed and advertised.
Interested artists will submit proposals which will be reviewed by an independent selection panel. Mayo Arts Service will manage the project and support the artist/ artists selected and encourage community engagement.
You can take a few minutes to answer the questions in the survey. Your answers are anonymous. You could discuss the survey questions with family or friends before filling in.
