Approval for Ballina Primary Care Centre extension

Dara Calleary TD has welcomed confirmation that a planning application and HSE Board approval have recently been secured for an extension to Ballina Primary Care Centre.

Deputy Calleary said: "I am very pleased to confirm that both planning and HSE Board approval are now in place for an extensive investment in Ballina Primary Care Centre. HSE Estates are presently liaising with the landlord and the developer to finalise the agreement for the lease and agree on a commencement date for the project.

"The addition of the planned extension to Ballina Primary Care Centre will bring the overall area of the centre from 1,032m² to 2,934m². This will permit the addition and expansion of services delivered from the centre such as Public Health Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, Psychology, Audiology, Community Medicine, Paediatric Services, Diagnostics, Dental, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, TUSLA, CAMHS, Social Work Services, Home Support Services.

“I will continue to liaise with HSE in the coming weeks to ensure that this extremely important project for North Mayo now moves to commencement without delay."
