The MySTORYious Express – a wonderful and intimate 60 minute show filled with storytelling and magic, by Dan O ’Donoghue, has launched at Hewetsons Bros Bar on Bridge Street in Westport this week.
The show is a distinctive and innovative addition to the town's already bustling social and tourist offering. Expect to be transported back in time through Dan's fireside storytelling style that includes tales of old Irish Wake traditions, vengeful fairies and feisty ghosts. It is a combination of myths and magic, mingling.
Hewetsons reopened its doors, under new management, during the summer of 2021 with the team there now excited and ready for a busy summer season, given that much of last year’s trading was under the many covid restrictions that applied at the time.
Downstairs, you will find a cosy bar that has been newly decorated in dedication to the fishing tackle shop that the building was home to for many years as well as a great space to watch all sporting fixtures. Upstairs, the lounge area offers delicious and contemporary cocktails in a more modern setting with live music every Sunday evening from 6pm.
The show is brought to you in collaboration with Islands Edge Stout; a pint of which is included in the ticket price. Adults can attend for €12 per ticket with Children tickets available for €6 (including a soft drink ).
