Ballintubber's Katie releases debut children’s picture book!

Katie Lally from Ballintubber, has released her debut children’s picture book A Spectacular Story from the Future. The proud author and illustrator is delighted to announce her books are now on sale locally in Eason stores in Ballina and Castlebar, The Castle bookshop in Castlebar, Corrigan's in Ballintubber and McLoughlin's in Westport and available online at Amazon.

If you have a child in your life that is passionate about animals, climate action and friendship, then A Spectacular Story from the Future is the book is for you! The book is based on interesting topics close to the author's heart such as climate action, animals, friendship and working together to make positive changes. It's filled with vibrant cartoon illustrations and there are many positive messages woven throughout the book for children to learn from.

When she is not writing and illustrating, Katie is a creative psychotherapist for children and teenagers in Dublin. Writing children’s books has enabled her to combine her passion for crafting stories and illustrations together with her professional knowledge and experience working with children of all ages. Katie says: "I love the spirit and beautiful imagination of children, who continue to inspire me every day."

Climate action is ever present in today’s world as people endeavour to create a more sustainable future for our planet and the next generation. This is a key theme that Katie has cleverly embedded in her work, commenting: "I couldn't help but try and raise awareness about it and writing this book has enabled me to combine climate action with the sense of friendship, adventure and endless possibilities making it fun, inviting and engaging for young children and early read alone stage readers."

Lally is currently in the process of writing a baby book and designing adorable illustrations to accompany it also and has many plans for more works to come.
