Chairwoman: Cathy Lydon; Vice-Chairperson: Veronica Gilligan; Secretary: Noreen Gilligan; Joint Treasurers: Dympna Malone and Marie Burke and PRO: Liam Horan. Cathy told the meeting that all trainees in the locality are now certified until June 2023, and outlined the defibrillator checking and maintenance schedule for the year ahead. A ‘mock’ emergency will be organised later in the year and the possibility of a community event, which would double as a fundraiser, was also discussed. Further details will be announced soon. The defibrillator was brought to the scene of a local emergency once in the past year, but wasn’t actually required as an ambulance had already arrived on the scene. Cathy said that the availability of a defibrillator and trained personnel was reassuring for all in the locality.
