Mayo County Council has published a notice of intention to impose a temporary closure on the N17 near Claremorris for three days next month.
The road will be closed in the townlands of Lisduff and Clare to accommodate the installation of pre-cast bridge beams for the new flyover at Lisduff. There will be diversions in place for the extent of the closure.
The N17 will be closed from 8am on Tuesday, June 21 to midnight on Thursday, June 23 in the town lands of Lisduff and Clare from the junction with the R320 to the junction of the southbound N17/N60 slip road.
The diversion routes are: Northbound: R320, R331 Lower James Street / James Street / Dalton Street, LP1519 Knock Road and Southbound: N17 / N60 off slip, N60, R331 Dalton Street / James Street / Lower James Street, R320.
Objections or observations regarding the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing not later than 4pm on Tuesday, May 24, to Paul Dolan, Head of Roads, Mayo County Council, Aras an Chontae, Castlebar.
