Koolkidz will give your child the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities each day over a week-long camp which will take place in Breaffy GAA Club at various dates over the summer from 9am to 3pm sharp (Castlebar Pool pick-up Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday ).
Building friendships, having fun, and working as part of a team are important aspects of Koolkidz. Children are guaranteed an action-packed week where they will get the chance to make new friends and take part in fun activities including unihoc, football, rounders, benchball, bucketball, circle dodgeball, jigsaw-hunt, relays, hurdles, lapper, burned, water brigade, wriggling ropes, freezy beans, fly swotters, food art, bronco tag, hip-hop, shipwreck, hoop ball, quiz time, super science, parachute play, creative crafts, face painting, drama games, nature madness, and swimming lessons by three qualified and experienced swim teachers. Children will be grouped according to ability.
The camp will be run by Deirdre Donnelly, diploma in science, health, and leisure, and a qualified Swim Ireland teacher; Denise Corcoran, qualified Swim Ireland instructor; and Regina O’Malley, primary teacher and qualified Swim Ireland instructor. All instructors have vast experience working with children and have been involved in running summer camps and other child-friendly activities for many years.
The children will be grouped as follows:
Team one, five to eight years; team two, nine to 12 years.
What to bring each day: Tracksuit and runners/suitable comfy clothing, swimming gear, packed lunch, plenty of drinks, and a raincoat or sunscreen may be required depending on the weather. No valuables please.
