Fun for all ages — pottery painting at Clay Café Claremorris

Looking for something to do that will keep the whole family happy and entertained this summer? Paint Your Own Pottery is fun, easy, and suitable for all ages and budgets.

“Pottery painting is enjoyable for everyone from two to 92,” says Deborah Murphy, of Clay Café, “And you end up with something to keep forever or give as a gift.”

Pottery painting is available on a drop-in basis seven days a week. No bookings or art experience are required! Paint with the kids or relax over coffee while they get creative. Finished pieces are glazed, kiln fired, and ready for collection in about a week. Posting of finished pieces can also be arranged.

Summer special events (bookings required ):

Arts and crafts camps combine crafts with pottery painting. Workshops take place August 4 to 6 and August 18 to 20 from 10.30am to 1pm. It costs €23 per workshop or three for €66—a snack is provided.

The Clay Café family night will take place on Thursday July 2 at 6.30pm, where you can enjoy your meal while Clay Café entertains the kids! Children are treated to a meal, dessert, and pottery painting in a party room (€15 each ). Those relaxing at the table pay only for what they order. Wine is available. A family evening with no cleanup and no babysitter!

Storytime for two to five-year-olds will take place at 11am on July 10 and August 14. Children are read a story and then paint a figure from that story. It costs €10 per child and a parent must stay on the premises.

Ladies’ night will take place on July 16 at 7.30pm — an evening of socialising and pottery painting. €5 admission includes tasty hors d’ouevres and a 10 per cent discount on a piece of pottery. Wine also available.
