Togra Mhaigh Eo de Chonradh na Gaeilge Castlebar is organising Irish summer camps, which will take place over a week in July, which are funded by Forás na Gaeilge, in Castlebar, Westport, Claremorris, and Ballina.
The week long activities for seven to 14-year-olds include music, dancing, drama, art and crafts, sport, and pottery. These camps are run by qualified teachers who have a keen interest in the Irish language and will take place from 10am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, and cost €60 per child.
Tógra Mhaigh Eo’s main aim is to promote the Irish language throughout the county in different ways such as running Irish classes for adults; workshops; third level courses; and Leaving and Junior Cert classes.
