Mayo County Council wishes to inform the public of the immediate closure of the L1824 at Barnaderg/Tawnyard, Westport, in the interests of public safety.
This closure in place until further notice. Road detour points are available at: (1 ) north of the closure at Drummin village at its junction with the L1825 (Louisburgh road ); and (2 ) south of the closure at Doolough/Delphi at its junction with the R335 (Leenane-Louisburgh road ).
Local access will be maintained to properties beyond the detour points but there is no through road. The Eircode of last property dwelling north of the closure point is F28CA30 / F28PV40 / F28XR83 and the Eircode of last property dwelling south of the closure point is F28F603 / F28EF43.
