The action moves from league to cup competitions this weekend for the Mayo League sides with the Westaro, Tuohy, Tonra and McDonnell Cups all kicking off.
The most recent running of the Westaro Cup only came to a conclusion at the end of February, with Ballyheane winning the competition beating Ballina Town 6-1 in the final.
The defending champions will start out their campaign at home on Sunday morning when Kiltimagh-Knock United come to visit Quigley Park. The sides have already met in the league in round two where Sunday's visitors held Ballyheane to a 1-1 draw.
Also facing off on Sunday morning will be Castlebar Celtic and Claremorris in Celtic Park. The Hoops were most recently in action in the Connacht Junior Cup, where they exited the competition at the semi-final stage; while Claremorris picked up a much needed first league win of the season in their last game against Straide and Foxford United where they won 5-2.
Last season's beaten finalists in the competition - Ballina Town - will be away to Glenhest Rovers on Sunday morning. The home side have picked up five points in the league from five games, while their guests have eight from their six. Both sides are also slated to meet again next weekend in the league in Ballina.
The Sunday afternoon games in the Westaro Cup will see Ballyhaunis Town welcome Manulla to Station Rise. The teams met in round two of the league with Manulla running out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Roger Clarke (2 ) and Aiden Dunleavy. Ballyhaunis have bounced back from being well beaten in their first two league games this season to pick up two wins and a draw from their last four games and will be ready to put it up to Manulla on Sunday afternoon.
The final game in the Westaro Cup opening round is the Meeting of Straide and Foxford United and Westport United in Green Road. The visitors are the only unbeaten side in the top division with three wins and two draws from their five games so far, leaving them just two points behind current league leaders Ballyheane, with a game in hand. Straide and Foxford United have picked up one win and two draws from their six league games to date - but when these sides met a few weeks ago, Westport United put five past them with Darren Browne getting a hat-trick along with strikes from Joe Lawless and Dylan Duane.
Premier sides battle for Tuohy Cup
With nine teams in the Castlecourt Premier Division this season, just eight sides will be competing in the first round of Tuohy Cup with current league leaders Conn Rangers getting a bye in this round.
The action gets underway on Saturday evening when there are three games down for decision in the cup all getting underway at 6.30pm. Moy Villa will host Killala in an all north Mayo clash - the hosts have won two of their three league games to date, while Killala are currently winless after four.
Ballyglass, who were relegated from the Super League last term, will host Crossmolina in what looks to be an intriguing encounter. The visitors are currently sitting in second place in the league standings with 12 points, thanks to four wins from five, while Ballyglass are in third place on seven points from their four outings so far.
The final game on Saturday evening will see Fahy Rovers travel to take on Kiltimagh-Knock United B. The hosts have yet to register a point this season from their four games, while Fahy have picked up four points from their five league games - thanks to a win over Killala along with a draw against Swinford.
The aforementioned Swinford will be at home to Westport United B on Sunday morning in the final game in the Tuohy Cup. Westport United B have only had two league outings this season due to commitments in external competitions, but they are undefeated in those two games, beating Fahy Rovers and drawing with Ballyglass. Swinford have seven points from two wins and a draw to their name from their five league games so far this season.
Tonra Cup starts at quarter final stage
The Tonra Cup will see the eight sides in the Killeen Sports League One all battling it out for a spot in the final four this weekend.
The big attraction in this cup is the meeting on Sunday afternoon of league leaders Kilmore and second played Ballinrobe Town. The north Mayo side have a two points lead over the south Mayo men at the moment with both sides having played four games each.
Manulla B who are right up there near the top of the table too with nine points from their four games, will be making the trip off the mainland to take on Achill Rovers on Saturday evening. Also going toe to toe on Saturday evening will be Hollister who will welcome Westport United C and Conn Rangers B who will host Newport-Mulranny Wanderers.
McDonnell Cup has plenty of intrigue
The battle to win the McDonnell Construction League Two title looks like it is going to be a real battle with six sides all within a handful of points of each other at the top of the table after most sides have played six games. This weekend the attention turns to the McDonnell Cup for those sides and there are some exciting-looking encounters.
League leaders Partry Athletic will travel to Ballyglass B, who they beat 8-1 in the same venue a few weeks ago. Second placed Castlebar Celtic B will host Killala B on Sunday afternoon, the Hoops had a 5-0 against their visitors two weeks ago in the league. Also battling it out on Sunday are Fahy Rovers B and Crossmolina B, when the teams met in the league earlier this year Fahy Rovers B picked up the points with a 3-1 win.
Claremorris B will host Ballyheane B - the sides met on the opening weekend of the league with Claremorris edging the five-goal thriller 3-2, while the final game sees Ballyvary Blue Bombers host Conn Rangers C.
