All-new new Opel Grandland arrives this month

Opel has announced pricing and equipment for the new Grandland range, ahead of its arrival here this month. It is available in petrol and diesel and the new Grandland retails from €35,495. There’s also a plug-in electric hybrid version which arrives in early summer.

This new Opel SUV flagship dons the signature Opel Vizor brand face and boasts adaptive IntelliLux LED Pixel Lights as standard across the three-trim range. It is also host to a new Pure Panel cockpit and technology and comfort features.

A segment first in Ireland, Opel’s state-of-the-art adaptive IntelliLux LED® Pixel Lighting system combined with high beam assist is standard across the range. Featuring 168 LED elements, 84 in each ultra-slim headlamp, that brilliantly light up the road ahead, the main beam automatically adjusts seamlessly in milliseconds to cut out glare for oncoming road users, whilst the peripheral lighting remains intact, for optimal safety.

Powered by efficient petrol and diesel engines from its launch in Ireland, customers have a choice between a 1.2 130hp 6-speed manual petrol (139g CO2 ), a 1.2 130hp 8-speed automatic petrol (145g CO2 ) and a 1.5 130hp 8-speed automatic diesel (135g CO2 ). The new Grandland plug-in electric hybrid 225hp 2WD version will arrive in early summer (31g CO2 combined ), with the 300hp AWD to follow later in 2022.

Available in three trims, the Grandland SC trim retails from €35,495 plus delivery and standard equipment includes LED Pixel Lighting, active emergency braking, cruise control with speed limiter, active lane keep assist, side blind spot alert, enhanced traffic sign recognition, driver attention alert, hill start assist with electronic parking brake, electronically controlled dual zone air conditioning, DAB radio, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, 7” touchscreen,

Bluetooth audio streaming, front console USB, 230V plug in 2nd row, 17” alloy wheels, auto headlamps, front fogs, rain sensitive windscreen, front and rear parking sensors and rear view camera.

The higher specification sporty SRI trim retails form €37,495 plus delivery. Then, the luxurious top-of-the-range Elite trim retails from €39,495 and adds further high specifications.
