Scoil Raifteirí students enjoy pizza making demonstration at Domino’s

Domino’s Pizza in Castlebar, which has been enjoying a busy seven weeks since it opened, treated the fifth class pupils of Scoil Raifteirí to a pizza making demonstration on Monday.

The pupils, all eager participants on a dull Monday morning, learned about hygiene and the process of making a pizza from scratch in a hands on and busy demonstration.

Guiding the pupils through making their own bases and adding their favourite toppings were Franchisee John McManus with Terence Scully, store manager, and assistants Robert Jameson and Zuzana Gerardova.

Supervising the children was múinteoir Cristín Uí Ghiobúin who told the Mayo Advertiser the experience gave the children “an insight into how pizzas are prepared and made starting from scratch - everything involved - as we all know that children love pizzas.”

Mr McManus was delighted with the children’s enthusiasm and added that it was “important to let the kids learn about hygiene and the process involved in making a pizza from Domino’s, a world leading pizza company”.

Domino’s in Castlebar is the 57th store to open in Ireland and has 25 staff employed.

Mr McManus has plans to open a second Mayo store in Ballina next year.

Domino’s offers a free delivery service to any location nine minutes from the store and has a range of special offers and discounts available for big orders for clubs and associations. Contact Domino’s, Spencer Street, Castlebar, for more details.
