Sandra Harris has worked in audiology for a number of years now where she is proud to say she has helped hundreds of people with hearing issues to live fuller lives.
Sandra says: "Our hearing is something we often take for granted. People often live with hearing loss longer than they would with other ailments before they seek help."
Sandra also feels some of the previous barriers to wearing hearing aids are slowly fading away. She continued: "People are often put off by the costs and how they look. But here at Smartfit we specialise in top-of-the-range discreet hearing aids at much lower costs. Smartfit Hearing engages with the large hearing aid manufacturers to get the latest hearing aid technology for reasonable prices. Then we pass these savings on to the customer. We do not add on huge profits."
Answering some of their most frequently asked questions, Sandra replied as follows:
With the low pricing does this mean you get a lesser service?: "Absolutely not, we offer a six-day-a-week service and all appointments are allotted an hour."
Are the hearing aids any good?: "We provide a range of hearing aids from the top six global providers. We only sell 2021 technology. We challenge anyone to trial a pair versus a more expensive pair."
What are the prices?: "We are open about pricing. Our range starts at €1,000 a pair up to €3,000 a pair. However, our most popular is the new PRSI hearing aid range as they are brand new and have really good performance."
Who is eligible for the PRSI grant?: "If you or your partner have built up PRSI through your working life you are eligible for the grant. We advise calling us as there are lots of different circumstances."
