Following on from their successful return to the ranks of the inter-county game last year, the Mayo senior camogie side will be getting their league season up and running this weekend.
Jimmy Lyons is still on board as the team's manager and they will be operating in Division Four of the league once again this year, where they will be up against Louth, Tyrone and Wicklow.
They will open up their league season with a trip to the Louth GAA Centre of Excellence in Darver on Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm; that will be followed up with a trip to Wicklow on March 12, before welcoming Tyrone the following weekend. The top two sides int he division will then face off in the league final on the weekend of April 9/10.
After a solid run in the league last year, Mayo went on to claim the Nancy Murray Cup - the tier of the championship they were playing in following a win over Tyrone in the final in Carrick-on-Shannon.
This year Mayo will be playing their championship camogie in the Premier Junior Championship, which will be a big step up in class for Mayo on the sides they played last year in the Nancy Murray Cup.
