Westport based Fine Gael councillor Peter Flynn has asked Mayo County Council to investigate the possibility of improvement works being carried out on the road that leads from the Nomadic Display plant on the edge of the town into the town centre.
He told a recent meeting of the West Mayo Municipal District that a lot of people use the route, with not just the business there, but creches and sports facilities. He asked that the council look into the possibility of looking for Active Travel funding for the potential works.
