Gardai arrested four men in relation to an incident of false imprisonment on Sunday evening last (January 9 ) in the Claremorris area.
The men were arrested at a Roscommon location and were detained at Castlerea Garda station for questioning. The men were later released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
Gardai are also investigating the theft of farm equipment in the Knockmore area on January 2 last. Equipment valued at up to €8,000 was taken including a number of sheep gates, an electronic weighing scales, a mesh-sided trailer, a power washer, foot-baths and tools. The Gardai have CCTV footage related to the incident but are asking anyone with information to contact Ballina Garda Station.
