A 20-year-old Castlebar man who was found in possession of cannabis was before Castlebar District Court this week.
On November 11 2008, Patrick O’Hora, Lack Park, Castlebar was searched by gardaí, when €44 worth of cannabis was found on his person.
Solicitor Kevin Bourke said that this young man, who lives with his parents, is a talented artist and intends to go to college in Cork this September. O’Hara has no previous convictions.
Judge Mary Devins applied the Probation Act and directed that €250 go to the Motor Neurone Association.
