A Lithuanian man was bound to the peace for a year after pleading guilty to a public order offence in Claremorris District Court this week. Mindaugas Ivoska, 59 Elm Park, Claremorris was arrested by gardaí on October 20 2008 at 12.40am after they were called to a domestic disturbance at his home.
Garda Ann Hoban told the court that she was called to a domestic disturbance where Ivoska and his wife were involved in an altercation after they had been drinking. She directed Ivoska to leave the house which he refused to do, so she arrested him on public order charges. Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined Ivoska €120 and ordered him to keep the peace for a period of 12 months.
