National retailer Carraig Donn is delighted to celebrate its tenth year in business online this week as its leading e-commerce site, www.carraigdonn.com continues to go from strength to strength.
Over the past 10 years of operating in the online retail landscape, the Irish company has achieved its growth through a continued focus on customer service for both their online and in-instore customers.
Continuing to focus on the customer’s shopping experience online is of the utmost importance for a successful e-commerce business and Carraig Donn is conscious of this as they position themselves for further significant growth over the next ten years.
Speaking on the anniversary of their website launch, managing director, Pat Hughes, said: "The investment in online continues to be very important for the company and we have invested significantly in our IT infrastructure, logistics and supply chain management to future proof our online growth.
"We take great pride in what we have been able to accomplish online over the last decade. The significance of this milestone validates the work that our team has put into achieving such immense growth in our customer-centric business," he said.
Pat Hughes added he expects very strong growth both online and in their stores during the busy consumer season ahead and reassured all customers that the stock is in place to meet their needs during the festive period.
In addition, he highlighted that Carraig Donn will be making significant investments and driving further job creation through the opening of three further stores during the first half of 2022 which will be omni-channel focused.
In 2020, Carraig Donn’s online business exceeded total e-commerce sales for the previous five years combined and has led them to emerge from the pandemic in a strong position.
In recent years they opened a 30,000 sq. ft logistics and warehousing centre in Castlebar, County Mayo, creating further employment opportunities and contributing to the growing hub of both national and international companies based in the West of Ireland.
Trading since 1965 and employing over 600 employees nationwide across 42 stores and with a strong online presence, the company has solidified itself as one of Ireland’s leading retailers and a go-to store for fashion, homeware, and jewellery.
