Mullin move a huge blow to Mayo

GAA: News

It has been reported this week that Mayo star Oisín Mullin is set to take up a professional contract with AFL side Geelong Cats in Australia.

The move of the Kilmaine man was first reported on Thursday morning, by sports website the42.ie and will come as a huge blow to Mayo ahead of next season.

Mullin slotted in seamlessly into the Mayo set-up in recent years, winning both Young Player of the Year and All Star for his showings for Mayo in their run to the 2020 All Ireland final and he's in the running for more awards this year after another strong season in the green and red.

He missed Mayo's win over Dublin in the All Ireland semi-final but was back fit to play in their All Ireland final loss to Tyrone in September.

Since the end of the inter-county season, Mullin has been a key man for his club, Kilmaine, and they will be in action in the Mayo Intermediate Football Championship semi-finals this weekend against Mayo Gaels.
