Tada! Exhibited as part of RoolaBoola Children’s Arts Season

A new interactive exhibition for children opened at the Linenhall last Friday.

Tada! is a collection of works from the Kids’ Own archive, stemming from projects involving children led by professional artists and writers. The Linenhall gallery is now a space for children that showcases creative ideas, vibrant artwork and children’s voices, from more than 24 years of collaborative art-based projects.

Kids' Own promotes and supports the innate creative capabilities of all children in Ireland through the arts and publishing. Encompassing several, diversely themed spaces, focused around: books; play; people; place; and pondering, Tada! is largely inspired by their extensive library of books made by children, for children, exploring an immense range of themes, experiences and artistic techniques.

Curated by a panel of children and young people from across Ireland in collaboration with artist Vanya Lambrecht Ward, Tada! encourages children to play, think, read, and share.

It runs until Saturday, November 20. Everyone in the community is invited to visit with their children, to engage and participate in what is The Linenhall’s 21st annual visual art exhibition curated with young audiences in mind.

Another very special children’s engagement, ‘A Piece of You’ takes place on Saturday, October 30. Performer Greg Sinclair will turn your thoughts and feelings into your own original music score using colourful and expressive graphic notation, and by playing your music on his cello. Participants will receive a copy of their music score and a recording after the event.

‘A Piece of You’ is a live, intimate and interactive Zoom performance for up to three people at a time; a private concert for an individual child (age 7yrs+ ) and their family. Each family group must include one adult. The session duration is 30 minutes and bookings can be made via www.thelinenhall.com
