Nicola Ford: Sanzio Boutique

Proprietor of Sanzio Boutique, Nicola Ford, brings fashion to Mayo with an amazing collection of European labels available in her shop on Hopkins Road in Castlebar.

When you walk into the shop, you immediately see that colour and print are a signature look in Sanzio. Nicola stocks some exciting brands including Vilagalo’s colourful printed shirts while edgy trousers and jackets catch your eye as some stand-out pieces.

Piosnero, a Spanish knitwear label, has some stunning sweaters this season, with pops of orange and tan. The classics are also catered for, with good smart-casual looks from brands like InWear, Part Two, Yerse and More & More.

This season’s trends include seventies-inspired tank tops, over-flamboyant ruffle shirts and also sees the bootcut jean making a return. Shackets are another trend this season and Sanzio is always fashion-forward.

Dresses are a go-to look this autumn/winter. Brands in Sanzio include Penny Black, Fee G, Sonia Pena and Emme and iBlues from the Marella label. There are so many styles to choose from and Nicola and her staff are always on hand to offer styling tips and advice.

Covid saw many businesses pivot and Sanzio has also adapted online with twice-weekly videos on Facebook. This has been a great help in giving a glimpse of Sanzio’s style and current stock right to our phones.

Another new departure is Sanzio II, a sale shop situated on Ellison Street. Here you will find great labels with reductions of 50 per cent and more on all items. Open every Friday and Saturday from 11am to 5:30pm.
