Curves, the woman-only gym franchise is launching its Get in Shape for Summer challenge. Available to both members and non-members of Curves across Ireland, the Curves Weight Management Programme is a system where women can attend six weeks of small, intimate classes run by trained Curves personnel.
Developed by Curves, this unique six-week programme is based on a wide and varied diet combined with the Curves 30 minute exercise programme. The ultimate goal is to provide a solution that gives permanent results without permanent dieting. On the Curves plan participants eat five meals per day — this helps to avoid hunger even during the low-calorie phase of the plan, which lasts for a week and also keeps metabolism boosted. Once you reach a new level in your weight-loss effort, you eat more to push your metabolism into a higher gear.
There are two food plans to choose from, one is higher in protein and the other is higher in carbohydrates. No foods are off limits but recommendations are made in each plan regarding the best options.
