Mayo manufacturer appoints new Commercial Director

LYNOSLIFE, a leading Irish manufacturer of cosmetics, beauty, health and wellbeing products, has announced the appointment of Phil O’Sullivan as commercial director.

LYNOSLIFE employs a team of over 120 across their Cork and Mayo campuses. The company offers a diverse range of services including formulation, sourcing, bulk manufacturing, filling, and packing for the global beauty and personal care markets.

O’Sullivan joins LYNOSLIFE from his recent role as Commercial Director for an international distribution business to the pharma and life sciences industries.

He has previously held roles in indigenous and multinational companies, including Kepak Group, H J Heinz, Boots, Gillette and Anderco. With over 20 years industry experience, he brings insights from the pharma, food, drinks, seafood, agri and FMCG sectors to the team.

Commenting on the appointment, LYNOSLIFE CEO Aiden Corcoran said: "The last five years have been a period of tremendous growth for LYNOSLIFE. We have expanded from a team of 22 to a team of over 120, opened our second site in Cork and invested in our R&D formulation facility and output capacity.

O’Sullivan is a guest lecturer in University College Cork on its Ignite entrepreneur programme and a guest lecturer for FITU (Food Industry Training Unit ) also based out of UCC. He is also a board member of the FITU advisory board in UCC.

After three years of sustained growth for the company, in November 2020, LYNOSLIFE rebranded from Cosmetic Creations. In March 2020, the company launched Airmedica, a range of personal care products, in direct response to the growing demand for hand sanitiser and other protective and safe products.

In the last 12 months, the company has manufactured and delivered over eight million units of hand sanitiser in total to sectors including retail, hospitality, and healthcare.

By mid-2021, the company will also have invested a total of €1.5 million over 18 months into the Mayo and Cork sites, further increasing adherence to GMP and enhancing output capacity, commercial marketing, and ecommerce capabilities. Shipping to more than 15 countries globally, clients include brand leaders as well as household private label brand names for the Irish, UK and European retail markets.
