Ring pleased with further progress for Murrisk Community Water Connection

Michael Ring TD has welcomed further progress made in relation to Murrisk Community Water Connection.

Deputy Michael Ring stated that this week: "Mayo County Council Rural Water Office submitted the Executive Report and the SDS Preliminary Design Report to the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government with a request for funding to complete the design and construction of the proposed Murrisk Community Water Connection. The Department confirmed receipt of the submission and they will assess it and a make a recommendation to the Minister.

"The issue of a water connection for Murrisk has been ongoing for many years. I have worked on this matter for quite some time and I am very pleased to see that it is moving in the right direction. Progress is being made and the application is in the Department. I wish to commend the hardworking committee under the excellent stewardship of Chris Grady. I will be making contact with the Minister to press on him the urgency of dealing with this submission as soon as possible."
