The search for a 69-year old man who was reported missing in November was stepped up this week.
Gardaí from the Ballina/Belmullet Community Engagement Unit conducted searches along the north Mayo coastline in conjunction with Grainne Uaile Sub Aqua Club and Recovery Unit from Killala Pier down along the coast and out into Killala Bay, over to Kilcummin Head, Lacken Head and towards Downpatrick Head and into Ballycastle pier.
Gardaí appealed to landowners together with those living or exercising along the coast for any information which may assist in this investigation, to contact Ballina Garda Station on (096 ) 20560
