Michael Ring T.D., has received confirmation that six Mayo Projects have been successful under the latest round of the CLÁR Programme.
He has been advised that six very worthwhile projects have been approved under the latest round of the CLÁR Programme. (1 ) €5,000 for Brickens Logboy Tulrahan Housing Association for vehicle adaption and equipment; (2 ) €6,474.84 for Castlebar Voluntary Social Services Centre for equipment; (3 ) €9,408.98 for Suifinn Way, Ballycastle for equipment; (4 ) €16,800 for Meals on Wheels, Mary Aikenhead Council, Foxford for equipment; (5 ) €9,621 for Geesala Meals on Wheels for equipment and (6 ) €2,565 for Mayo Abbey Parish CDC for equipment.
Deputy Ring said that the CLÁR Programme provides funding for small scale infrastructural projects in rural areas that have suffered significant levels of population decline.
"The supports provided through CLÁR have been tailored this year to help to rural communities to respond to the new Covid-19 environment. I have always been very impressed by how much can be achieved with relatively modest investment amounts" concluded Deputy Ring.
