An exciting new venture is happening in Erris this weekend, with the launch of Margadh Feirmeoirí Iorrais (Erris Farmers Market ). The enterprise is being launched by Ann Marie Healy (Erris Person of the Year ) at 12noon on Saturday August 9.
Fr Judge will bless the market and the local comhaltas will provide the entertainment
The Erris Farmers Market will run every Saturday from 12noon to 4pm at the Comhar Iorrais Teo (Erris Co-Op ) yard, Chapel Street, Belmullet and offer a variety of food which is produced within the Erris area, including vegetables, free range hen and duck eggs, home baking, fish, herbs and small plants, seaweed products and prepared dishes.
