Brenda Grealis will add a beautiful soundtrack to your event. Brenda Grealis has been singing and playing music for as long as she can remember. Brenda (Walsh ) Grealis originally hails from Callow near Foxford but now resides in Turlough, near Castlebar, with her family.
Despite being a busy wife and mother, Brenda Grealis has always been passionate about music, studying piano from a young age she also learned flute and guitar and had professional voice training for many years.
In the past number of years she has become a successful harpist and singer and now provides harp music and singing for weddings and funeral ceremonies throughout the region.
"It took the past number of years of very hard hard work to get this far. The business has gone from strength to strength" she said.
Brenda is a very popular and sought-after funeral and wedding singer and musician not just in Mayo but in Connacht and beyond. She told us that: "I love my job because I love music. Interaction with clients is so important and understanding the genre of music people like and require is fundamental importance to me, the music you provide must be fitting, suitable, and more importantly, meaningful to the individuals."
Brenda performs regularly at Ashford Castle in Cong, and as well as providing music for weddings, she also provide music for Funerals, as music can very often create a source of comfort in difficult times even moreso now with Covid-19 and numbers attending funerals and weddings restricted the music can create a beautiful meaningful personal reportoire for the cermony.
In February 2020 Brenda won Best Cermony Musician at the Weddings Online awards held in Dublin. This is Brendas third national award.
