Anatomy Physiotherapy, based in Claremorris, is a practice focusing on Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health.

It is owned and run by Suzanne Carney (BSc Hons, MSc ), a clinical specialist in this area. She qualified from Manchester Metropolitan University with an honours degree and went on to complete Masters level training in Continence and Women's Health at Curtin University, Australia.

Suzanne is an experienced clinician having worked in Manchester, Perth and Mayo for over a decade. She is a member of the ISCP, AHPRA and CORU and is registered with the private health insurers in Ireland.

Suzanne is passionate about her patient’s pelvic health and her areas of interest include children's continence, male and female incontinence, prolapse and pregnancy and postpartum related conditions, especially breast-feeding issues. Suzanne is a certified Mummy MOT practitioner and Pre & Postnatal Coach.

Suzanne understands these sensitive issues and offers extended appointments, so her patients don’t feel rushed and are given an opportunity to discuss things thoroughly.

Anatomy Physiotherapy won the Emerging Business category for 2020 at the Network Ireland – Mayo Branch awards and was a finalist in the national Network Ireland awards last month. She is also participating in the Empower Growth programme in association with GMIT at the moment.

Suzanne presents regularly at conferences, provides education & training to other physiotherapists and health professionals along with Arthritis Hydrotherapy in conjunction with Arthritis Ireland. She is also an advocate for providing information via social media and educational talks.
