Pearl Beauty opened its doors on Ballina Street, Crossmolina, last month. After travelling around Australia and America, Pearl Beauty's proprietor, Victoria Coyle, came home and completed her beauty training in Castlebar.
Victoria explained: "I was very lucky to have the opportunity to work in a salon in Ballina called Mystique Beauty under Vera Naughton, where she took me under her wing as a receptionist whilst I was in secondary school as she knew I had an interest in being a beautician.
"As she was a trainer herself, the knowledge, training and confidence she gave me was invaluable. Pearl Beauty - which is my dream business - opened last month and will be open from Tuesday to Saturday each week.
"I have hired a great therapist, Eimear Reynolds, to work in the salon. We will be doing a massive range of treatments from waxing using Waxperts Wax, skin analysis and facials using Ultraceuticals Skincare, and tanning using White to Brown and Vita Liberata; as well as a range of nail treatments including manicures, pedicures and shellac.
"We will also be offering massage and eye treatments including LVL lashes, tinting and threading. And finally, makeup, using all the top brands such as MAC, Nars, Charlotte Tilbury, Inglot etc.
"Our opening hours are from 9.30am to 6pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9.30am to 8pm on Thursday and Friday and from 9.30am to 4pm on Saturday. We look forward to welcoming you to the salon."
