Cllr Martin McLoughlin has called for an expansion of the greenway network in Castlebar.
The Fianna Fáil councillor called on the council executive to look at extending the current greenway network to the south of the town out the Ballinrobe road, to link in with the student accommodation in GMIT and train station and back around to the Westport Road back into the town. He said having seen how popular the current network has been in recent months, he believes it would be a big addition to the town to extend it.
