Plenty of interest in the intermediate last eight

The Mayo GAA Intermediate Football Championship Quarter Finals draw has thrown up a number of very interesting contests. Hollymount-Carrmore who were relegated from senior last year have been paired up with Bonniconlon.

Kiltimagh who have almost escaped the grade a number of times in recent years will face off against Crossmolina Deel Rovers while Ballinrobe will take on Ardnaree for a place in the last eight.

But the tie of the round looks to be the meeting of the very near neighbours Mayo Gaels and Balla - just 6km separates the two sides home grounds and there will be no love lost come next weekend.
