Mayo boxer Ray Moylette raised over €15,000 for a number of charities after undertaking a 1000 push ups in one hour challenge.
Speaking about the response from the public Moylette said: "I can't believe the response I got from you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.The total amount raised was €16,640 and after gofundme fees we are left with €15,989.90I have all transfers completed.
"The breakdown is as follows: (1 ) Pieta House, Preventing Suicide and Self Harm €8,000; (2 ) Mayo University Hostpital €4,000; (3 ) Westerncare association €2,000 and (4 ) Sacred Heart Hostpital €2,000.
"I want to sincerely thank #OffTheBall for giving me the best platform to raise awareness and build momentum for my challenge. Thank you to everyone who donated your hard earned money."
Moylette said a big thank you to all who helped him along the way especially: "My wife Sharon for supporting me throughout and helping me through every obstacle along the way and last but certainly not least to my son (who wasn't even born yet at the time ) Colby-Ray who provided me with the motivation to keep me pushing right to the end. I hope everyone is staying safe and getting through this challenging time together."
